Beef Short Ribs with Jasmine Rice & Green Beans

Beef Short Ribs with Jasmine Rice & Green Beans

Ingredients:

4 bone-in beef short ribs

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups beef broth

1 cup barbecue sauce (or your favorite homemade BBQ sauce)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven: 325°F (160°C).

2. Season Ribs: Sprinkle short ribs with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

3. Sear: In a large oven-safe pot, heat olive oil over medium-high. Sear ribs on all sides until browned (about 3-4 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.

4. Sauté Aromatics: In the same pot, sauté onions until soft, then add garlic for 1 minute.

5. Deglaze: Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up the flavorful bits from the pot bottom.

6. Add BBQ Sauce: Stir in BBQ sauce, then return ribs to the pot.

7. Braise: Cover tightly with a lid or foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until ribs are tender and falling off the bone.

8. Finish: Optionally, brush with extra BBQ sauce and broil for 2-3 minutes for caramelized edges.
